Cage the Elephant, formed in 2006 in Bowling Green, Kentucky, is known for their explosive mix of garage rock, punk, and blues influences. Led by frontman Matt Shultz, the band built a reputation for raw, high-energy performances and emotionally charged lyrics. After breaking out with their hit “Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked,” they quickly became festival staples, evolving their sound with each album while keeping their wild stage presence at the core.

they took the stage first,the Atlanta duo mixed soft acoustic moments with bursts of energy that got the crowd moving. Their blended vocals — calm one moment and powerful the next — floated over steady guitars and drums. It felt honest and down-to-earth, like a late-night drive with good friends.

The band tore through songs old and new, blending gritty garage rock with flair. Their chemistry was undeniable; every riff, every shout felt spontaneous but perfectly in sync. By the end of the set, the entire room was alive for their performance at the boeing center in san antonio, texas after their appearance austin center limits (ACL).
Cage the Elephant is on their Neon Pill Tour and closed out the night with the wild, unpredictable energy they’re known for. From the moment they stepped on stage, the crowd erupted — and it didn’t let up once. Frontman Matt Shultz moved with chaotic precision, dancing, jumping, and leaning into the crowd.
